Ecclesiastes 7:12 (KJV) “For wisdom is a defence and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.”
Wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence, that is, wisdom and money can keep a man from danger, providing shelter and protection. Whatever money can give, wisdom can give it also, however, wisdom has a greater advantage than money. Why and how? Because “the love of wisdom” can never destroy a person, instead, it preserves the life of those who have it. In contrast, the love of money is the root of all evil. Some people want money so much that they have given up their faith and caused themselves a lot of pain” (1Ti. 6:10; CEV).
