2Pe 1:17 (KJV) “For He (Jesus Christ) received from God the Father, honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
The greatest honour or commendation a man can receive in this life is the honour of being declared, “a beloved child of God, in whom the LORD God is well pleased.” Is the LORD your God pleased with your way of life? How honourable we are before God is not based on our human accomplishments, achievements, positions, and acquisitions; it is based on how pleasing our lives is to the Almighty God.
What kind of life does please our LORD God? It is a life totally and willingly surrendered to God; a life whose thoughts, words, and actions align with God’s word and will. It is a life that always seek to fulfill the desires of our heavenly Father (John 5:30). It is a life that seeks to bring joy to our LORD God. That was the kind of life our Lord Jesus Christ lived while on earth.
