Proverbs 13:10 (KJV) “... with the well advised is wisdom.”
To be well-advised is wisdom. Therefore, it is important to be sensible and take advice. It is wisdom to do all things with counsel. We must be quick to listen to others to consider their opinions, which enables us to make sound decisions and judgments. It is pride to think that one can always know what to do without the help or advice of others. Pride closes one’s ears to advice. Proverbs 11:2 (TPT) says, (TPT) “When you act with presumption, convinced that you’re right, don’t be surprised if you fall flat on your face! But walking in humility helps you to make wise decisions.” A presumption is something we accept as being true without proof. Proverbs 20:18 (BSB) says, “Set plans by consultation ...” Put in other words, Proverbs 20:18 (CEV) says, “Be sure you have sound advice before making plans ...”
