1Timothy 6:11 (CEV) “Timothy, you belong to God, so keep away from all these evil things. Try your best to please God and to be like Him. Be faithful, loving, dependable, and GENTLE.
To be gentle means to act in a mild and calm manner, avoiding harshness or rudeness. It implies carefulness and consideration, especially in interactions with others. Essentially, gentle people are not aggressive in their actions or words; they are peaceful and respectful and pleasant to be around. Gentle people are not easily agitated or upset; they are mindful of others' feelings and avoid causing distress or harm to others. They strive to be polite and well-mannered. Gentleness is a product of high esteem for others. Gentleness is likened to how a nursing mother cherishes and cares for her own children (1Thess. 2:7). Gentleness is an act of divine wisdom (James 3:17). May we be gentler in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
