Exo 10:21-23 (KJV) [21] “And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even DARKNESS WHICH MAY BE FELT. [22] And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a THICK DARKNESS in all the land of Egypt three days: [23] They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days ...”
Darkness is symbolic of a “blindfolding veil”. The man, Job, said, “... He has veiled my paths with darkness” (Job 19:8; BSB). According to our Scriptural text, when the Almighty God plagued the Egyptians with thick darkness, “no man rose up from his bed for three days...” (Exo. 10:23; Brenton). Similarly, when a man encounters “thick darkness” spiritually, he is unable to move forward in life. One of the causes of “lack of progress” or “stagnation” in any man’s life is the presence of “thick darkness” over the life of the man. It is my prayer that the light of God dispel every form of darkness in our lives, in Jesus precious name. I decree every form of stagnation in any life comes to an end in Jesus precious name.
