Psalm 59:2 (KJV) “Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.”
David wrote this psalm when Saul sent men to watch his house and kill him (1Sam. 19). He was innocent, yet surrounded by unprovoked hatred, secret monitoring, planned attacks, and invisible traps. In this verse, David is praying for God’s protection from two kinds of dangerous people: “workers of iniquity” and “bloody men”. Who are these workers of iniquity? They are people who intentionally do evil, plan wickedness, create trouble, confusion, and set traps for the righteous. In today’s terms, the workers of iniquity are people who plot against your progress, your peace, your purpose, or your destiny. The workers of iniquity do not sin by accident; their evil work is deliberate. May the LORD our God deliver us from them also, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
Who are these bloody men? Bloody men refer to violent people, murderous people, men thirsty for blood, people with no regard for life, people driven by cruelty or hatred, and people whose intentions are primarily destructive. Currently, these bloody men have so infiltrated our country, Nigeria. May the LORD our God bring an end to their existence in our nation, in Jesus precious name. Spiritually, “bloody men” also symbolize demonic agents assigned to destroy destinies. They are people who kill joy, opportunities, and vision. They are wicked powers that shed “spiritual blood” – meaning they drain strength, virtue, or blessings. Bloody men are Satanic assassins, destiny killers, spiritual robbers, and forces sent to destroy your joy, peace, health, finances, or purpose. Again, I pray that the LORD our God will deliver us from these visible and invisible enemies, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
