Psalm 54:4 (KJV) “Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.”
In the second part of our Scriptural text, David makes a declaration concerning those were used of God to uphold his soul; he said, “the Lord is with them”. God Himself is our ultimate Helper (Psa. 121:1-2), however, He also works through others to help us. There is a principle of “a help meet for you” in Genesis 2:18. In our destiny journey, the Almighty God has prepared helpers meet (suitable, appropriate) for us. May the LORD bring you in contact with your destiny helpers, in the name of Jesus Christ. Eve is described as a “help” (Hebrew word, ʿezer) meet, suitable, appropriate for Adam. The Hebrew idea of “ʿezer” is not of a servant, but of a PARTNER who provides essential support.
Now, many people desire to have divine human helpers, but few people desire to be that divine human helper to others. It is wisdom to primarily SEEK TO BE A BLESSING because the LORD God usually bless those who are passionate to be a blessing to others. The LORD said to Abram, “… I will bless you; I will make your name great, SO THAT YOU WILL BE A BLESSING.” (Gen. 12:2; BSB). So, the key purpose for God’s blessing on our lives is so that we may be a blessing to others. The Hebrew language also carries the sense of a commission. I am not only a recipient of God’s blessing, I am commanded or commissioned also to be a “conduit” (channel) of God’s blessing, favour, fruitfulness, and peace.
