Pro 4:7 (KJV) “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom ...”
Recently, the LORD has been impressing in my heart the need for me to walk in “divine wisdom”. It is the first thing we must think of, in the pursuit of anything we desire or need in life. Wisdom can be defined as “the appropriate use of knowledge and understanding in daily living, most importantly, in solving problems.” Wisdom is the most valuable thing to have. All the works of God were made by wisdom (Psa. 104:24). Wisdom is better than rubies (costly stones, jewels), and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it (Pro. 8:11). Pro. 12:8 (KJV) says, “A man shall be commended (celebrated, much-admired) according to his wisdom ...” Wisdom is a defence (Eccl. 7:12); it keeps a man from danger. Wisdom is profitable to direct (Eccl. 10:10); it makes any job easier like a sharpened knife. Now, the LORD can make a person wise by filling him or her with the spirit of wisdom (Exo. 28:3). Therefore, we can ask the LORD for wisdom (James 1:5).
